OUR SERVICES

Appointments:

Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. We are open for scheduled appointments and walk-ins seven days a week during office hours.  Walk-ins are welcome and attended to on a first come - first served basis.  For our patients' safety and care, emergencies, euthanasias and critical care cases have first priority.

Emergencies and Urgent Care Cases:

Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open and we have a dedicated Emergency/Inpatient telephone extension staffed by a technician. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us at 951.689.0440 Ext. 22 or come to the hospital immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency and the hospital staff can be prepared to receive your pet.

We have veterinarians and personnel who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. Usually an emergency team consists of at least one veterinarian and several technicians working together to save a pet's life.  Emergencies can be things such a snail bait poisoning, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion.

We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment. Our veterinarians will attended to your pet in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our receptionists will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.

We value our clients and pets and want to be there for them.  It is our hospital policy to never turn away a client and patient in need during our operating hours.

  • Feline Declaws  -  At our hospital we treat declaws as serious procedures.  Many hospitals use glue to close the incision sites, minimize pain medication and antibiotics to reduce cost and minimize hospitalization to save fees which can result in increased patient pain, reduced safety and an increased complication rate.  Declawing is a painful procedure, it is amputation of the cat's toes and it has serious risks such as long-term pain, claw regrowth, infection, etc.  All our declaws receive extensive pain medication protocols via injection, orally and at the incision sites themselves.  We use ring blocks around the paws to reduce pain when needed.  We suture all incision sites to prevent infection since glue can come apart and dirt and cat litter can get into the sites resulting in severe and painful infections.  We hospitalize your cat, bandage the paws and utilize sedation to reduce pain and infection post-surgically.  Your cat will receive the best care with plenty of pain medication and minimal chance of complications.
  • Ear Crops and Tail Docks  -  These procedures are cosmetic procedures that are painful and our hospital takes these procedures and pain control seriously.  Many hospital minimize or eliminate pain medication, antibiotics and hospitalization to reduce fees which can results in increased patient pain, reduced safety and an increased complication rate.  All our cosmetic procedures receive extensive pain medication protocols via injection, orally and at the incision sites themselves.  Be rest assurred that your pet will receive the best care and the most pain free procedure possible to minimize complications.
  • Referral Services  -  Most cases from the simple to the extremely complex can be expertly handled at our hospital.  Occasionally a case may arise that requires a board-certified specialist.  Our hospital and staff have strong, long-term relationships with speciality hospitals all over Southern California and we can speed your pet to the right specialist for the right diagnostics and treatment.  We will be there to answer all your questions and advise you on your pets care, even speak to the specialist for you when needed.
  • Euthanasia  -  When the time comes to say goodbye our doctors and staff will provide the compassionate and dignified care your pet needs.  Our euthanasia fee is a flat fee and we won't charge you extra for an intravenous catheter and/or sedation if needed.  Your pet will be treated care when it needs it the most.

Estimates and Fees:

We can provide an estimate for all surgeries and hospitalizations after examination of your pet.  Estimates provide a rough idea of the cost of a particular procedure or treatment and provide a margin for body weight variation and unexpected needs.  Due to the unpredictable nature of medicine, final estimates cannot be provided ahead of time and in some cases an estimate will be provided based upon "best knowledge" of the case at the of the estimate.  Charges for your pet are updated on a daily basis each evening prior to close of the hospital and you may request an updated invoice at any time.
