In your search for a veterinary facility, we believe you expect high quality care as well as great service.  Our goal has been to assemble a veterinary health care team committed to providing exceptional client service and veterinary health care. You will also be asked to present a Government issued photo ID  in order for us to make you an account. Our commitment to you is to continue to offer our world class service and a state of the art veterinary facility.

What To Expect On Your First Visit:

Consultation:

On your first visit to our office you will be welcomed as a member of the Arlington Animal Hospital family and our receptionist will greet you and your pet with a warm smile.  You will be asked to fill out our forms which will help us gain some information about your pet and their condition. You will be asked to present a Government issued photo ID  in order for us to create you an account. An animal nurse will place you and your pet in an exam room and obtain your pet's vitals.

Physical Examination:

The attending veterinarian will consult with you and obtain a history regarding the presenting problem of your pet.  After consultation your pet will receive a comprehensive medical examination.  If the attending veterinarian can help your pet they will let you know what treatments are needed.  If necessary radiographs will be taken and blood profiles performed to rule out conditions and to help establish a diagnosis.  If the attending veterinarian or another veterinarian at our practice cannot help your pet we will refer you to specialitsts that are best able to help your pet.

Radiographs, Ultrasound, Computerized Tomography (CT) and Blood Profiles:

Radiographs, sonograms, computerized tomography (CT) and blood profiles are sometimes required to get a full evaluation of an animal patient. Since animals cannot speak these types of diagnostic tests are needed to help rule out conditions and provide a diagnosis.  The need for these tests are considered on a case by case basis.  Our hospital is fully equipped with the lastest in state-of-the art digital radiology, ultrasound and laboratory equipment and results can often be obtained within an hour.

Report of Findings:

Based upon your pet's history, the physical examination and any diagnostic testing the attending veterinarian will provide you with a through and detailed report of all findings.  After further consultation you will be presented with recommendations for medical treatment, surgery and/or hospitalization that will best help your pet.

Treatment:

Treatment may include injectables, medications, hospitalization and/or surgical correction to get your pet back into good health.  All treatment recommendations will be discussed with you and you will have the ability to discuss options and treatment plans with the attending veterinarian.  A plan of action will be determined and carried out upon your approval.
